Investing in the Future

What You Can Do

You can start now with investing as little as US$10,000 in E&O’s low-risk interest-bearing bonds. All of your investment goes directly towards providing funding to microfinance institutions to experiment with new technologies and new products to serve the very poor in Southeast Asia.

Your Investment

With your investment E&O provides an interest-bearing loan to an MFI partner at market price.

Our MFI partners are rigorously screened and selected to ensure they share our basic strategy: alleviating poverty by directly connecting microcredit with healthcare, affordable sanitary housing, education and welfare programs. Our selection criteria also directs our MFI partners to decrease their operational costs via new technologies, to expand their product lines, and to offer comprehensive social programs.

A Safe and Rewarding Way to Invest

The money you invest in our work bears an interest of 3-5%, which is comparable to current bank rates, and there is no risk to the investment, since it is covered by E&O. Interest is paid on a semi-annual basis, and the principal is recovered in three years.

E&O will begin accepting investments by September 2011. Please contact us now to learn more, and to receive updates.

“Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”

- Robert F. Kennedy
